sg: inside out
Live VJ Set · Touring Exhibition (Beijing, London, NYC, SG)

What does it look like when cities remix each other in real time?
Singapore: Inside Out was a multi-sensory, multi-city showcase commissioned by the Singapore Tourism Board, designed to platform the country’s creative talent. My role was to develop a live visual set for the London edition — staged at Truman Brewery — blending motion graphics with real-time audiovisual performance.
Exhibition
Singapore: Inside Out
Truman Brewery, London
Tour led by Singapore Tourism Board
Presented in collaboration with Syndicate SG
Featured alongside: Cherry Chan, Kiat, Kidkanevil, Pleasantry
In collaboration with Brandon Tay

Technology
After Effects — for animation and sequence design
Cinema 4D (C4D) — to build layered 3D structures echoing urban form
VDMX — for real-time audio-reactive VJing across live sets
Process
Working with Brandon Tay and the Syndicate SG collective, the VJ set was crafted in conversation with each musician’s set — including DJ Kiat, Kidkanevil, and Cherry Chan. Visual sequences were built from imagined architectural hybrids: fragments of Singapore’s sleek futurism intertwined with London's gritty historical textures. The result was a visual system that remixed cityscape, sound, and story in real time.
Output
Custom visuals for live performances by Singaporean and UK artists
Multi-set responsive VJ system across an open-air event environment
Performed as part of a touring cultural showcase across four global cities
Reflection
The project explored how sound and space can echo cultural identity in motion. Through sequencing, repetition, and real-time response, Singapore: Inside Out became a cross-city remix — a live dialogue between architecture, memory, and rhythm.
