BIOGRAPHY

Suki Quasimodo is the musical practice of Singaporean Chinese artist Pamm Hong. Working across electronic composition, live performance and moving image, she builds immersive audiovisual worlds exploring language, memory and the ways we find one another through sound.

Her work combines sub-bass composition, spoken word, field recordings and cinematic sound design to create environments that feel as much experienced as heard. Rather than treating music as a finished object, she approaches it as a space for reflection, intimacy and quiet transformation.

Her debut EP, DATURA 01 (Random Artefacts, 2025), emerged from a year marked by grief, loss and self-confrontation. The record became an act of renewal, exploring endurance, tenderness and the courage to remain open. Between 2024 and 2025, Quasimodo toured Asia with the release, performing in listening bars, record stores and intimate venues while undertaking a self-directed research journey across Japan and China. It was during this period that she began developing DATURA 02, drawing on Nüshu, an ancient women's writing system from rural Hunan, to explore the relationship between language, sound and emotional memory.

Every visual element, from artwork and films to live visuals, is conceived and directed by Quasimodo, forming a cohesive audiovisual world across sound, moving image and performance.

Recent work includes an original score commission for Factory International, support from BBC Radio 6 Music presenters Jamz Supernova and Jess Iszatt, a residency at FOLD, and performances at Tate Modern Lates. Alongside her artistic practice, she founded Random Artefacts, an evolving research platform exploring culture, sound and speculative world-building through long-form writing and cultural critique.

SELECTED WORK

DATURA

An evolving audiovisual project told in three chapters.

DATURA TRILOGY

DATURA was conceived as a trilogy because transformation rarely happens all at once. Each chapter documents a different stage of becoming, allowing sound, research and moving image to evolve together. Rather than repeating a formula, every release asks new questions while remaining part of the same living work.

DATURA 01
(2025)

Endurance. Renewal.
Learning to remain open.

DATURA 02
(2026)

Power, memory and
hidden forms of communication.

DATURA 03
(WIP)

Transformation,
convergence and experiential.

DATURA Visual World

DATURA is conceived as a complete cinematic world. Every artwork, moving image, live visual and visual identity is conceived and directed by Quasimodo. AI functions as a creative collaborator used to build emotionally resonant rather than realistic worlds.
